Chemical Lean Measurement for Meat

Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) technology is a non-invasive and highly accurate inline method of fat analysis, offering substantial cost benefits to the meat industry. It is increasingly relied upon by meat processors and slaughterhouses to quickly and accurately measure the chemical lean (CL) or fat content of meat trimmings and ground beef.

Eagle’s ‘What is DEXA technology?’ white paper takes a thorough look at the technology that is blazing the trail in CL conformance and will help anyone involved in the production or processing of meat seeking to learn how to manage fat content, secure the best value and save costs.
