Eagle™ FA720 Pack

Designed for fat analysis and contamination detection in packaged meat products, including cardboard cartons, plastic crates and vacuum-packaged frozen blocks.

Featuring DEXA technology, Eagle’s FA720 PACK is capable of inspecting 100% of throughput in real time and producing chemical lean (CL) values within +/- 1CL.

The x-ray system provides superior x-ray detection and automatic rejection of the following foreign objects:

Suitable for inspecting meat in packages, including cartons, plastic crates, and vacuum-packaged frozen blocks with a maximum height of 178mm (7”) and a maximum width of 533mm (21”), the machine inspects packages at up to 36 meters per minute (120 FPM) and at rates up to 50 cartons per minute (3000 cartons per hour).

The FA720 PACK helps manufacturers increase productivity by simultaneously measuring mass.

Additional features and benefits include:

  • Ability to accurately measure chemical lean values within +/- 1CL, and weight, on individual packages
  • Unique VALIDATE feature enables easy routine and on-demand calibration validation at the push of a button. The VALIDATE feature eliminates the need for running heavy, delicate and expensive “phantoms” (standard) blocks through the system. VALIDATE uses an internal set of servo-driven precision calibration standards, securely protected from the environment, to verify that the system is in calibration. VALIDATE also generates a secure electronic log to afford a history of the calibration performance of the FA720 PACK, useful for supporting the FA720 PACK as a Critical Control Point (CCP), but also in defending against fat claims.
  • Proprietary SimulTask™ PRO software which ensures compliance with HACCP principles and global safety regulations by providing on-screen diagnostics, advanced image analysis and quality assurance traceability. In addition, detailed images highlight contaminants and allow rapid rework of cartons to eliminate them.
  • Product Switch feature which enables automatic ‘on-the-fly’ per-package inspection parameter changes, enabling optimum inspection for each different product on the line  (requires optional barcode reader).
  • TraceServer™ software for enhanced data collection. The FA720 PACK also provides integration capability with the optional Eagle TraceServer, for remote server access and networking. The TraceServer software enables monitoring of inspection statistics, images and reports generated by the system from any computer with network access.
  • AMI sanitary design and IP69K rating essential for food inspection  in harsh wash down environments
  • Built in modem and Ethernet card for remote technical support
  • Optional Marquee Display Unit (MDU) provides trimmers and packers feedback of real time CL measurements, enabling them to adjust trimming and packing for optimum production control.
  • Optional one-, two-, or three- head Bar Code Reader enables the Product Switch feature, and supports end-to-end track and trace systems via the FA720 PACK network communication.
  • Optional Remote Touchscreen Console (RTC) enables convenient remote display and operation of the FA720 PACK, as well as image recall to aid contaminant location at rework stations.
