When Produits de Nos Grand-Mères launched a new glass-jar product line, the company needed a more advanced inspection solution capable of detecting a wider range of contaminants beyond metal to help protect product quality and consumer safety.
Inspection Challenge:
- Due to packaging of jars with metal lids they could not inspect sealed products and had to inspect them prior to capping
- Varying product temperatures and salinity created product effect making it hard to locate small metal contaminants
- Detection of glass in jarred products was not possible

By replacing their metal detectors with the Eagle™ Tall PRO XS x-ray inspection system, Produit de Nos Grand-Meres was able to have multiple quality checks—mass measurement, missing cap detection, and component count—performed simultaneously on their production line to enhance their quality control standards. Furthermore, the Canadian manufacturer was now capable of glass-in-glass inspection, as well as locating metal fragments in sealed jars, and other physical contaminants.
