Fat Analysis X-ray Machine FA3/M

The FA3/M is a multi-application system which provides precise measurement to +-1 CL with the use of Dual Energy X-ray Absorptiometry (DEXA) technology. It performs fat measurement and contaminant detection for fresh, chilled, frozen and hot-boned loose bulk, frozen or tempered (“naked”) meat blocks and unwrapped meat conveyed in plastic crates.

100% Inspection of Red Meat

Eagle’s inline fat analysis x-ray system solutions help red meat slaughterhouses and processors to optimize raw material use, comply with end-product specifications and maximize profits. The FA3/M operates at industry throughputs up to 2,400 plastic crates or frozen blocks per hour, or up to 35 tons per hour of bulk meat. It is hygienically designed to NAMI/EHEDG sanitary standards for durability in harsh washdown environments and the PRODUCT SWITCH™ function allows products with different inspection requirements to run on the same line.

The FA systems simultaneously performs the following inline product integrity checks with no degradation in inspection performance at full throughput:

  • Contaminant detection
  • Protein calculations
  • Fat analysis
  • Moisture calculations of the meat
  • Chemical lean
  • Mass measurement
