Component Count

Counting components of food with x-ray technology is much quicker and far more reliable than other inspection methods. An Eagle system is capable of looking inside sealed packaging to check that all components are present, something that can’t be done by cameras or the human eye. Common applications include counting needles and syringes in a box, checking for the locking lever in an asthma inhaler and counting chocolate bars in a box.

Our x-ray machines can also spot the presence of a cap or lid. If the cap is missing, the cap area appears brighter on the x-ray image and the product will be rejected from the production line. See example below:
